These Oakley Iridium lenses are special. Oakley start with a Plutonite lens - 100% UV and Blue light effective, meeting ANSI Z87.1 standards for optical clarity and impact resistance. Then they blast the lens with 12 microns of Iridium particles. While the Iridium coating increases contrast and the ability to perceive detail in shadows, this coating must be treated with special care to avoid scratching. Oakley do not warranty lenses against scratches. To clean Iridium lenses, do not use liquids or cleaning compounds. Use approved lens cloth or fabrics only. |
