M FRAME

Worn by S.W.A.T. teams and others who take their view of the world seriously. The Oakley M Frame® is considered essential equipment for pro athletes. Conventional sports shields are made by bending flat lens sheets in a simple arc, but the M Frame® features true Polaric Ellipsoid® geometry. The lens is contoured in three dimensions to match the curvature of the eye. That requires XYZ Optics®, a patented technology that virtually eliminates the visual refraction of ordinary sports shields.

Translation: You get razor-sharp clarity at all angles of view, even at the periphery of wrapped, raked-back lens contours that maximize peripheral vision and protection against sun, wind and side impact.

Even with ultra-lightweight architecture that offers all-day comfort, the M Frame® surpasses ANSI Industrial Standards for high-mass and high-velocity impact protection. All lenses are made of pure Plutonite®, a proprietary material that offers the highest level of optical clarity available in eyewear. Plutonite® blocks 100% of all UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light.

HINGED VS. NON-HINGED
The M Frame® includes hinges for a customized fit. Oakley's Pro M Frame® is a hingeless design that maintains a secure fit with the subtle pressure of frame flexibility. The frame is molded in a reduced arc, so the earstems press gently inward to keep the eyewear in place during the inertial changes of sports activities.

LENS OPTIONS
Each M Frame® style has removable, interchangeable lens options that allow you to adapt instantly to any light condition. Five lens shapes are designed to match the M Frame® and Pro M Frame®, and four lens shapes are available for the Magnesium M Frame®. M Frame® and Pro M Frame® can be fitted with Rx implants. Currently, implants are not available for the Mag M Frame®. These opthalmic lenses are integrated into the single-lens shields to provide corrective optics, custom ground for your prescription.

LENS TINTS
Interchangeable lenses for all styles of M Frame® are available in a full spectrum of color options. Each hue optimizes light transmission, absorption and reflection for a specific range of light conditions. This allows you to maintain the highest levels of contrast and clarity for any application. Optional Iridium® lens coatings offer a semi-reflective surface that maximizes contrast and minimizes glare. The range of Iridium® tints allows the wearer to specifically tune light transmission for any environment.
